Employment Eligibility Verification Services |
Employment Eligibility Verification Services:
EEV, Employment Eligibility Verification, is a check of two federal government databases to confirm a new hire's eligibility to work in the United States:
- © Social Security Administration (SSA): Verifies that a new hire’s SSN is valid, matches the person’s name.
- © Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services: Validates that a person is approved to work in the U.S. either by being a U.S. citizen or having an approved work visa.
GIS’ Employment Eligibility Verifications (EEV) system provides you with instant work authorization status with Employment Eligibility Verifications, regardless of citizenship status.
As a Federally Designated Agent for the E-Verify™ Program (formerly the Basic Pilot Program) since 2003, GIS can provide you with an automated system for performing this verification. Using information from the form I-9 to run the verifications, our EEV solution will provide you with Verification or Request Resolution information electronically, allowing you to maintain a compliant, organized and paperless verification process from your computer.
The EEV solution features:
- Automatic request of employment authorization from SSA and DHS databases
- Immediate (3 – 5 seconds) response from the E-Verify system that includes: Initial Verification Number, Results Status and Verification Information
- Interactive options for resolving the query for employment authorization
GIS' Employment Eligibility Verification solution is available on its own, or as part of a complete Electronic I-9 Solutions package with COMPLI-9.
